
The izard County Sheriff’s Office reports several arrests last week. 34-year-old Lewie Elmer Branscum of Calico Rock was arrested on a pick-up order for contempt of court. Branscum allegedly walked away from a facility that he was conditionally released to. He is also charged as a habitual offender. Branscum will be in court January 20th.
60-year-old Clint Moore of Horseshoe Bend was arrested on a warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop for a busted tail light. During the stop Moore gave the officer permission to search his vehicle and the officer located a glass smoking device, that Moore told then he used for smoking meth. The officer also found a metal smoking device. Moore is scheduled to be in court January 20th.

According to Chief Deputy Charley Melton on January 4 Jered Sisco, age 35 of Cherokee, was arrested by Deputy J Barnes for fictious license plate, no proof of insurance, and possession of a controlled substance. Sisco is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on February 4.
On January 4 Bobby Gray, age 54 of Oxford, was arrested by Trooper Lively for driving left of center and DWI. Gray is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on February 4.
On January 7 Macey Carter, age 25 of Melbourne, was arrested by Sgt. Steve Davidson on a warrant for violation of Arkansas hot check law. Carter appeared in the Izard County District Court on the same day.
On January 7 Tommy Franks, age 55 of Calico Rock, was arrested by Arkansas Department of Community Corrections for parole violations.
On January 8 Timothy Reeves, age 57 of Melbourne, was arrested by Deputy Jason Jordan for criminal mischief, DWI, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental operations, and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Reeves is scheduled to appear in the Izard County District Court on February 18.
