The Missouri State West Plains Lady Grizzlies opened the season on Friday in the New Mexico Military Institute Invitational and got off to a rough start losing both games Friday, but came back on Saturday and beat Vernon College in straight sets 3-0 then defeated the Host New Mexico Military Institute 3-2. The Lady Grizzlies are now 2-and-2 on the season and will not play again until February 5th in the Grizzly Invitational.
