A man wanted in connection with a suspicious death in Independence County has now been charged with first degree murder. 28 year old Cody Weathers of Batesville turned himself into police in Springfield Tuesday night. Weathers allegedly shot 30 year old Adam Lowry in the head. Lowry’s body was found under a sleeping bag at a house. Weathers was developed as a suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Weathers was seen a library in Springfield, where a person spoke to him about the bible. The person said Weathers seemed paranoid and told the person that he was god and that he had been time traveling. He also allegedly said that he shot Adam Lowry. Weathers later turned himself in.
