Missouri Lawmakers Want To Increase Regulations For Tobacco & Vaping

Some Missouri lawmakers want to increase regulation of the tobacco and vaping industry, raising Missouri’s legal age to purchase those products to 21, require vendor registration, increase fines and allow for local enforcement. Ron Leone, the executive director at Missouri Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association was the sole witness opposing sections of the bill present a hearing Wednesday.

One component Leone was opposed to is requiring vendors to register with the Department of Revenue, saying that all of the businesses he represents already comply with the law and oppose unnecessary regulation.
