ST LOUIS – A buzzer-beater by Drake’s Joseph Yesufu knocked off third-seeded Missouri State in a 71-69 heartbreaker in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semifinals here Saturday.

Demarcus Sharp finished with 16 points and 8 assists for Missouri State (17-7), while Gaige Prim led the Bears with 19 points, and Keaton Hervey matched his season high with 18.

 

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) – Justin Roberts had 17 points to lead five Georgia State players in double figures as the Panthers narrowly beat Arkansas State 71-68 in the Sun Belt Conference tournament second round on Saturday.

Norchad Omier had 16 points and 18 rebounds for the Red Wolves (11-13). Marquis Eaton added 16 points and eight assists, and Keyon Wesley had seven rebounds.

 

 

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Moses Moody scored 28 points, Jalen Tate added 22 and No. 12 Arkansas beat Texas A&M 87-80 on Saturday to match the program’s longest Southeastern Conference winning streak at 11 games.

Devonta Davis and Justin Smith joined Moody and Tate in double figures for Arkansas with 12 and 11, respectively.

Arkansas was locked into its No. 2-seed for the SEC Tournament before Saturday’s result. The Razorbacks’ first game of the postseason will be Friday against the winner of the No. 10-seed and No. 7-seed game.

 

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) – Trendon Watford scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half and his short jumper with just over a minute left broke a final tie as LSU battled past Missouri 86-80 on Saturday to end the regular season.

Dru Smith led Mizzou with 17 points.
