The West Plains Lady Zizzers will play for a state championship this afternoon in Springfield. The Lady Zizzers advanced to the Championship with a 46-43 win over Union on Thursday. The Lady Zizzers had to finish the game without two-time all-state McKenzie Brunson who left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury. West Plains scored the game’s final 6 points after trailing 41-40, with 2:54 remaining. The Lady Zizzers were led by Ashton Judd who finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds, Alysa Joyner added 10 points. West Plains will play Whitfield this after at 4pm today for the state championship.
