Three people have been arrested on drug charges in Douglas County. Deputies from Douglas and Wright Counties responded to a call of tampering with a motor vehicle of highway U. where they arrested 32-year-old Julio Gonzales, 32-year-old Christopher Penkert and 33-year-old Jacqulyn Lytton all from Springfield. All three were arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. Gonzales and Penkert also face charges of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. They were both on probation and had over 30 prior arrests. Gonzales was supposed to be on house arrest with an ankle monitor.
