Four Local Counties in Missouri have ben chosen to receive a $770,000 grant to allow text to 911 and boost coverage. Howell, Wright, Ozark and Douglas Counties will all receive the grants. Prior to the funding announcement, Ozark and Douglas Counties did not have their own 911 answering equipment. Funding will help Wright and Howell Counties pinpoint location of the caller through equipment. The Grant was part of nearly $2 million in funding awarded by the Missouri 911.
