School and Municipal Elections are coming up in Missouri on April 6th and there are several contested races and issues in both Oregon and Howell Counties.
In Oregon County three people have filed for two spots on the Couch School Board, the candidates are Derrick Bennett, Blake Martin and David Newman. Five people have filed for two positions on the Alton School Board, they are Steven Mills, Jeffery MeEntire, Cary kinder, Kelly Stubblefield and Chris Johnston. In the City of Thayer there are two aldermen positions up for election. In Ward 1 two candidates have filed they are Dirk Schultz and Mechelle Bryant and two people have filed for Ward 2 they are Kem Trimble and Kenneth McKenzie. Voters in Thayer will also vote on resolution 244 which ask if the tax collector position should be changed from an elected position to an appointed position. Tomorrow we will look at the contested races in Howell County.
