JC Penney has delayed the closing of its West Plains store until May. In December they announced that they would shutter more stores including the West Plains Location. The Company filed chapter 11 bankruptcy in May of 2020 and said they planned to close 242 stores including the West Plains location. The plan according to a press release is to close the store May 16th.
