Strong storms blew through the listening area on Friday afternoon knocking out power to hundreds. In Thayer a power line was reported down near Harps, there were also reports of tree limbs down throughout town. In Mammoth Spring there was a report that a transformer was out, and Entergy reported over 800 customers in the Mammoth Spring area were without power. There was also a report of a power line down of Porter Wagoner in West Plains and ECNN got a report that a tree was on a power line in the Henderson are in Baxter County and power was out to several customers of North Arkansas Electric in Shady Groves and Buffalo City in Baxter County. Also, at One point Howell Oregon Electric was reporting more than 800 members were without power. Thankfully there were no reports of any injuries.
