West Plains City Council Approves Several Bills At Meeting

The West Plains City Council met earlier this week for their regular monthly meeting. During the meeting the council approved the second reading of bill 4683 adopting the utility budgets for fiscal year beginning April 1st 2021 through March 31st 2022, the vote was 4-1 becoming ordinance 4683. The Council also approved the first reading of bill 4684 to increase trash rates in the city. A second reading and final vote will be at a later meeting. The vote was 5-0 on the bill and second reading and final vote will be at a later meeting of the council. The City council also approves a couple of bids, one for Conduit for the Solar Farm at $61,696 from Harry Cooper of Springfield Mo. And one for Electric Meters for inventory at a cost of just over $446,000. Then council then heard the final administrators report from City Administrator Tom Stehn who is retiring at the end of the month.
