The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a man from Theodosia on Tuesday after he fled on foot from police in Ava. 41-year-old Earl Sewell was arrested on two active warrants, one was for no bond for probation violation for not responding to attend BIP treatment as required and the second warrant was from Vernon County for failure to appear. Sewell has 16 prior arrests on 33 felony charges.
