A woman from Norwood was injured in an accident in Douglas County Friday night. The Highway patrol reports that 38-year-old Joleana Mitchell suffered moderate injuries when she drove off the road and hit an embankment then returned to the roadway and was hit by a vehicle driven by 57-year-old Theodore Jarrett of Mountain Grove. The accident happened on highway 5 just south of highway B in Douglas County. Mitchell was taken to Cox South in Springfield.
