After the Senate voted late Wednesday night not to fund Medicaid expansion, lawmakers who support it are looking at what happens next. Rep. Peter Meredith warned other lawmakers in the House on Thursday morning about what the state could lose if Medicaid expansion remains unfunded.
State Rep. Cody Smith, who engineered the removal of the funding, disagreed and said other funding is not imperiled. The battle could now move from the Legislature to the courtroom.
