Brittany Hirsch of the Thayer FFA Chapter won the Missouri FFA Agricultural Sales Placement Proficiency Award at the 93rd Missouri FFA Convention.
Proficiency awards recognize FFA members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers while gaining hands-on career experience. Agricultural sales placement is one of 46 proficiency award areas recognized at the state level. Lile Quarry Inc. sponsored this award.
The Missouri FFA Association awarded West Plains FFA Chapter a Gold Emblem, a Top Chapter Award. West Plains placed 13th out of 351 chapters. Only 10 percent of state chapters receive a top chapter designation each year. The West Plains FFA advisors are Jay Hale and Tonya Jedlicka.
