A man in jail in Baxter County for murder now faces additional charges after an incident at the jail. 28-year-old Ryan Lindsey was in jail for the murder of 35-year-old Cody Strafford. Lindsey allegedly was waving a shank made from broken plexiglass and tried to bargain with the jail staff, telling then he would give them the shank for a can of dipping tobacco. Officers entered his cell and subdued Lindsey without injury. He was in court in Baxter County last week and pleaded not guilty to all charges against him. In addition to the new charges against Lindsey, he also faces charges of capital murder, kidnapping, second degree battery, arson and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Lindsey is now being held in the state prison in Buckeye.
