The Missouri parks Association says that a bill has advanced in the Missouri House to sell or transfer property along the Eleven Point River in Oregon County. Bill HB1046 has been placed on the Informal Perfection Calendar. When its turn comes up it will be debated on the floor of the house. The bill would authorize the Department of Natural Resources to sell, transfer, grant, convey, remise, release and forever quitclaim property in Oregon County located within the boundary of a property known as Eleven Point State Park. The property is 625 acres which is encumbered by a federal scenic easement. IN September of last year, a decision was made by a circuit court that DNR would have to sell the 625 acres.
