Alton High School is one of just 11 public high schools in Missouri to be recognized as a Show-Me FAFSA Challenge Winner. The schools were recognized for helping students plan financially for higher education. Schools competed for scholarship prizes in four categories including highest completion rate, most improved completion rate, greatest percentage of lowest income students filed and most innovated strategy. Alton was one of the winners in the Greatest Percentage pf Lowest Income Filers at 100 percent. Winning schools will designate one graduating senior who will attend a Missouri postsecondary institution in 2021 as the scholarship recipient.
