The Mammoth Spring School District has faced challenges the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic but is rebounding with exciting hires and a new addition to the school.

ECNN spoke with Superintendent Jenny Whisnant about the new hires and growth, but her emphasis was on making sure that students stay involved in their clubs.

Mrs. Whisnant says the school is excited to return to a bit of normalcy in the 2021-2022 school year.

We also asked if the school was looking into ways to add classrooms now that the State of Arkansas expects the school to be at 600 students by next year.

The school is still looking to fill a few more positions before they are fully staffed for the upcoming school year.
