A man from Doniphan was killed and a woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident Monday evening south of Poplar Bluff. The Highway Patrol reports that 69-year-old Barry Johnson of Doniphan was killed and 40-year-old Amy Swofford of Harviell suffered serious injuries when the vehicle Johnson was driving hit the vehicle that Swofford was driving head-on. Police say Johnson was traveling in the wrong direction. The accident happened on U.S 67 about 2 miles south of Poplar Bluff.
