A blogger is suing the judge of Baxter County over the Freedom of information act.
Little Rock attorney Matt Campbell blogs the Blue Hog Report.
Campbell filed the lawsuit on Friday after the two disagreed on how multiple FOIA inquiries should be handled in the county.
The blog sent an FOIA to the county asking for copies of titles for every vehicle owned by the county.
The county responded saying that digital copies were not available, but that he could view the titles during regular business hours and that if the county had to scan and send the files electronically, Campbell would be charged labor fees.
Campbell says that an FOIA request does not allow the county to charge a person for requesting records.
By Arkansas law, Baxter County Circuit Court must hear the complaint and must resolve the issue in 7 days after the FOIA request is filed in the court.
