
Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has declared a state of emergency in Arkansas due to flooding in the southern portion of the state.
Some communities received more than a foot of rain in a 24 hour period.
With that declaration, $100,000 from the Governor’s disaster fund can be used by the Division of Emergency Management.
The Governor announced that he would be visiting the flooding sites in the next few days.
