
COVID-19 cases are on the rise according to Howell County health officials.
The county is close to doubling its numbers from two weeks ago, saying they have 21 active cases.
Ozarks Healthcare of West Plains says they have three COVID-19 patients admitted to the hospital, doctors there say they cannot confirm if the cases are the more lethal and transmissible delta variant, but they know Springfield hospitals have cases of those variants and think it’s a possibility in Howell County.
Remember to wash your hands often, use hand sanitizer, wear your mask where it’s needed, and if you feel sick stay home.
Health officials strongly encourage residents across both Arkansas and Missouri to get their COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible.
