A woman from Squires Missouri was killed in a two-vehicle accident Friday evening north of Ava. The highway patrol says that 53-year-old Julie Freeman was killed when a truck driven by 32-year-old Emert Wall of Ava crossed the centerline and hit the car that Freeman was driving head-on. Wall and a 7-year-old girl in his vehicle both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Cox South hospital in Springfield. The accident happened on Highway 5 about a half-mile north of Ava.
