Authorities in Batesville are investigating the death of a man who burned to death. Batesville fire department was called to a residence Tuesday evening and found a 41-year-old male had suffered extensive burns and was deceased. Police report a domestic confrontation was going on and the 52-year-old wife was burning marriage-related articles. Police believe he dosed himself with gasoline and that he may have gotten too close to the fire causing the gasoline to ignite. The man’s identity has not been released.
