A man from Ava was injured in an accident east of Ava Saturday. 54-year-old Gerald Pickel suffered moderate injuries when he drove off the road, struck a ditch, a tree, and a fence. He was taken to Cox South in Springfield. The accident happened on Rt AB, 8 miles east of Ava.
