Two people were injured, one of them seriously in one-vehicle accident west of Caulfield Sunday night. The Highway Patrol reports that 45-year-old James Hays of Willow Springs suffered serious injuries and 59-year-old Anthony Thornton of Pomona suffered minor injuries when Thornton failed to negotiate a curve, drove off the road, struck two trees, and overturned the truck he was driving. Thornton was charged with felony DWI with serious physical injury and careless and imprudent driving in the crash. Hayes was taken to Ozarks Healthcare. The accident happened on Cloud nine drive about two miles west of Caulfield.
