The Oregon, Ozark, and Howell County Sheriff’s Offices participated in an active shooter training this week at Alton High School.
We spoke to Oregon County Sheriff Eric King about the training and he says it’s better to be ready for these situations and hope they never happen
Sheriff King tells us the training is taught by a group from the University of Texas called ALERRT(Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training)
The training ended yesterday, but the Sheriff is happy that the officers had a chance to learn more about an active shooter situation.
