Were you able to join us for the annual 4th of July celebration at the Thayer High School Football Field?
If not, you missed out on a great time.
We got underway around 5:00 with kids’ games, music from the Southern Edge Band, and free watermelon.
Around 6:30 skydivers landed on the field.
Then at 7, Mike Crase started sorting through the contestants, then finally, down to two when the winner was announced.
South 63 Motors was on hand for the giveaway and they tell us it’s always a good thing to help the community.
Jordan Owens of West Plains announced the winner of the Toyota Scion.
We talked to the winner and she told us what the car means to her.
She says this is a big win for her.
