An accident in Howell County sent a West Plains man to a Springfield hospital Thursday evening.
According to the highway patrol, 66-year-old Primo Montesi was driving northbound on county road 7830 ¼ mile east of Caulfield, when the 2004 Toyota Tacoma he was driving went off the road, struck a fence, and ejected Montesi.
Authorities say there were moderate injuries on the scene and Montesi was taken by ambulance to Cox South in Springfield for treatment of these injuries.
