A Willow Springs man is facing charges after he allegedly waved a pistol around a Baxter County campground.
42-year-old Justin May is being charged with aggravated assault, three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, theft by receiving, and being a felon with possession of a firearm.
Baxter County Deputies reponded Tuesday Night to reports of a physical altercation at the Bidwell Point Campground.
When May was questioned about the disturbance, he said that other campers had been harassing him at his site, saying that one of the campers punched him in the head and several other individuals held him down while he was being assaulted.
The pistol was a .44 caliber revolver and was found to have four rounds loaded in the cylinder.
After police ran the serial number of the weapon, it was reported stolen from the Springfield area.
Once paramedics checked out Justin Mays’s injuries, he was taken to the Baxter County Detention Center and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
