Strong thunderstorms moved through the area in West Plains yesterday evening.
The City of West Plains posted a picture of a power pole that was knocked down yesterday due to strong winds.
A picture was posted to social media of a softball team near the West Plains Fields posing beside a downed tree.
We have not heard of any injuries due to the storms yesterday.
According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, severe weather is a strong possibility tonight in our listening area.
We spoke to The Weather Channel’s meteorologist Jeff Maurer about severe weather possibilities tonight:
Most of our listening area has been put at a marginal risk.
We will be tracking these severe storms this afternoon into tonight and will break in if things get severe.
