Residents in West Plains might have experienced a power outage on Saturday, but the storms over the weekend were the cause.
Squirrels caused the widespread outage across the city on Saturday… and yes you heard me right.
The outage occurred from CC highway to sunset terrace and Porter Wagoner Blvd to the west and included the Westway subdivision.
City Crews reported the outage was ongoing for about one hour and close to 2,000 customers were affected.
