Arkansas, Missouri reports rise in COVID-19 cases, most Arkansas hospitalizations now unvaccinated

Both Arkansas and Missouri report rises in COVID-19 cases from Tuesday. According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the state has added 6,804 new cases in the last 7 days. 

The state is averaging 972 new cases per day, and now sees 2 deaths per day. 

According to the Arkansas Department of Health, the state saw a major rise in cases. 

ADH reports an additional 879 cases from Tuesday, 15 more people have lost their lives due to the virus, 41 people were admitted to the hospital yesterday, and 4 more people were placed on ventilators. 

According to the Governor’s office, 98.7% of hospitalizations since January have been unvaccinated people. 

Local cases show Fulton County at 24 active cases, Sharp County at 54, Izard County adding 64, 320 in Baxter County, 33 in Randolph County, and Lawrence County shows 36. 

In Missouri, 21 active cases were reported in Oregon County, 11 in Ripley County, 24 in Shannon County, 31 in Howell County, Ozark County reports 25, and 26 in Texas County.
