The Arkansas Razorbacks star pitcher Kevin Kopps was named the best player in college baseball after winning the 2021 Golden Spikes award winner.

Kevin Kopps helped the Razorbacks charge to the Super Regional where they would later fall to North Carolina State.

Other finalists for the award include Vanderbilt pitchers Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker.

The only other Arkansas Razorback to win this award is Andrew Benintendi back in 2015.

With 33 appearances this season, Kevin Kopps went 12-1 with 11 saves, .90 ERA, and .76 WHIP were the lowest in college baseball.

The Razorbacks were 28-5 in games during which Kopps pitched. Arkansas finished the season with a 50-13 record and won SEC regular-season and tournament championships.

In the Razorbacks final game, Kopps pitched nearly a full game, leaving middle ways through the ninth.
