Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson made an announcement that he would be visiting more areas across Arkansas to address vaccine hesitancy.
The Governor announced plans to visit Mountain Home on Monday at 11:30.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Baxter County alone has spiked in the past month.
Baxter County has 353 active cases of COVID-19 in their county.
32.8% of county residents 12 and up have been fully vaccinated against the virus, statewide 40.2% of the population is fully vaccinated.
Many health officials across both Arkansas and Missouri say the rise in cases is due to low vaccination rates.
