Fulton County Sheriff’s Office confirms shooting

According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, there has been a shooting this morning within the county.

ECNN spoke to the Fulton County Sheriff Al Roark and all that he could tell us was that a shooting had occurred and that Air-Evac had been called, no location has been released at this time.

The sheriff believed the shooting was accidental.

A news tip came in around 10am this morning.

This is an ongoing investigation causing details to be very limited at this time.

UPDATED 3:30pm:

First reported by the Hallmark Times, According to Scott Rose, Assistant Cheif of the Hardy Police Department and also a Deputy at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department officers did respond to shooting on 9 mile ridge at the 7000 block of 9 mile ridge.

One female was transported by air to an unknown location for a apparent gunshot wound.

According to Rose, Fulton County investigators are investigating the scene. More details will be released at a later time by Fulton County authorities.
