Multiple accidents reported over weekend

MSHP also reported 2 accidents causing serious injuries on Sunday. 

According to Missouri Crash Reports, 57-year-old Stephen Wright was driving eastbound on Highway 14 in Howell County when he suffered a medical emergency, drove off the roadway, and into a barbed-wire fence. 

Wright was taken by the South Howell County Ambulance service to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. 

 

In Reynolds county, an accident sent 2 people to the hospital. 

According to police, a 1993 Buick Century was driven by 24-year-old Mikeal Berthelot of Desoto, MO was driving southbound on MO 49, 8 miles south of Centerville, MO when the Buick crossed the centerline and struck a 2020 Chevrolet Trailblazer head-on. 

Berthelot had minor injuries on the scene and was taken by ambulance to Iron County Hospital, and his passenger, 20-year-old Zachery Parrett of Silex, MO was taken by life flight to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for treatment of his serious injuries.
