Arkansas marijuana sales down in July compared to June

In a report released by Arkansas’s Department of Finance and Administration, it shows that the state spent $26.5 million on medical marijuana in July, but compared to last month, that’s down 24%.

When the state’s first dispensary opened in the middle of July in 2019, Arkansas residents have spent $365 million on 54,009 pounds of medical marijuana.

In the July report, there were 3,924 pounds of cannabis purchased, down $8.5 million from June.

Currently, there are 36 marijuana dispensaries throughout the state of Arkansas and two more are working to open.

The DFA reports that 13 dispensaries in Arkansas have sold at least 2,000 pounds of cannabis.
