We told you last week about Ozarks Healthcare reopening it’s COVID-19 ward in their West Plains Hospital location, but now we are learning that Howell County is the #1 county in Missouri for the percentage of people infected.
Health officials from the healthcare system have been on national news like CNN in the last week, talking about their latest COVID numbers and how the staff has dealt with the influx of patients.
The hospital staff says that most of the patients for COVID in the hospital at the moment are unvaccinated.
Howell County is one of the least vaccinated counties across the country.
Just over 20% eligible for the vaccine have received it.
