Fulton County Fair officials announce that awards, cash premiums, and auction receipts for the 2021 fair totaled $27,372.21. In addition to this amount, $10,000 was awarded in scholarships making a total of $37,372.21 in awards.
Fair officials would like to thank everyone who had a part in making the 2021 fair a success. Even though some of our events were canceled due to the COVID outbreak and attendance was down from previous years, it was another great week for our exhibitors, volunteers, and those who attended. A special “thank you” to all the volunteers and sponsors who supported the fair with volunteer hours and financial support. Volunteers and sponsors worked tirelessly with board members preparing for the fair and spent countless hours during the fair week working wherever needed to see that the fair ran smoothly.
Fair premium checks are now available and can be picked up at the fair office located in the Hickinbotham-Miller Building at the fairgrounds. Office hours are 10:00 to 3:00 Monday – Thursday. Exhibitors are encouraged to pick up premium checks and cash them by September 30th. All checks that are not cashed will be void on November 15, 2021.
Board members and volunteers are already making plans for the 2022 Fulton County Fair and for additional improvements to the fairgrounds. Dates for the 2022 fair will be July 18 – 23. Officials always welcome suggestions for new exhibits and events at the Fulton County Fair.
