A Fulton County man was arrested on Tuesday for multiple drug charges.

According to court filings, Arkansas State Trooper Kirt Williams and Fulton County Sheriff Deputies investigated a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 63, four miles south of Mammoth Spring.

The deputy observed Stanford walking around the vehicle in an erratic manner and appeared to be under the influence.

The deputy also noted seeing multiple methamphetamine paraphernalia items inside Stanford’s vehicle.

When Trooper Williams arrived on the scene, he discovered that Stanford is a parolee with a search waiver on file, and his driver’s license was suspended.

At a later time, 16th Drug Task Force Special Agent Johnny Byler used a field test kit to test the suspected methamphetamine, which was positive.

Stanford was later taken by AirEvac to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
