Ventilators in use across the state of Arkansas hit an all-time record on Monday.

Governor Asa Hutchinson said he hoped the full approval of the Pfizer vaccine would help to encourage more people in the state to get immunized against COVID-19.

The state broke the record after, like mentioned a moment ago, ventilator use rose by 12 on Monday.

The state broke the record that was set only 3 days ago, on Saturday.

Virus patients make up half of the state’s ICU beds with a total of 558 currently in the intensive care unit.

According to the ADH, there are 22 ICU beds available across Arkansas.

The state did add that 5,427 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given on Monday.

If you would like to receive your COVID-19 vaccine or have questions, contact your local healthcare provider or pharmacist.
