16th Judicial Drug Task Force reports arrest of Fulton County man

Charges were filed against a Fulton County man on Tuesday for a drug arrest that happened in February. 

According to a probable cause affidavit, Special Agent Aaron Middleton with the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Unit stated that agents with the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force met with a confidential informant to make a methamphetamine purchase from 35-year-old Joseph Hendrickson. 

The CI was equipped with electronic monitoring equipment and given $650 in ASP buy money. The CI made contact with Hendrickson, the two exchanged hands, and the information was given 26.6 grams of methamphetamine, the CI returned and met with officers after the transaction. 

The logistics of the controlled narcotics purchase were orchestrated through a wireless cellular device. 

It was also stated on the affidavit that the exchange happened within the confines of a state park. 

Hendrickson is now facing charges of felony unlawful use of a communications device, felony distribution of controlled substances near certain facilities, felony delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, and being a habitual offender. 

His bond was set at $10,000 by Circuit Judge Larry Kissee.
