Missouri law goes into effect changing alcohol regulations

Multiple Missouri laws go into effect on Saturday.

One of the laws to highlight is the new alcohol sale Senate Bill 126.

A waiver was granted to restaurants that were severely strained in April of 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic shutdown.

The new law states that mixed drinks can be sold outside of the business if the container is durable, leak-proof, and sealable. The container must not exceed 128 ounces.

The licensee must provide a dated receipt for the meal and beverage.

Only two drinks can be sold per meal.

The customer must have ordered and purchased the meal with the liquor purchase.

Legally licensed liquor sales are permitted to sell alcohol now on Sundays from 6am to 1:30am, like every other weekday.
