The Alton Bank opened its new location in June and held its grand opening on Saturday.
They offered customers food, snacks, and drinks, plus showed customers what they could offer. The Bank was first established at “Bank of Alton” in 1892, then changed to Alton Bank in 1924.
We spoke to the IT Director, Kari Bowers about new systems installed at the bank.
We also had a chance to speak with the Owner and President of the Alton Bank, Randall Combs and he tells us that it’s special for him.
The Combs bought Alton Bank in 1988. The bank at that time had assets of less than 20 million, today, Alton Bank Assets are 100 million. When the bank was bought in 1988, it had 2 million dollars in loans, today, Alton Bank has over 50 million dollars in loans. They provide the local community a Bank that wanted to meet their loans needs was important to the Combs family.
If you missed the grand opening and would still like to see the new facility, the bank lobby is open from 9am – 3pm on Monday – Thursday, and stays open till 5pm on Friday.
