City of Ravenden Mayor James Larry Gibbens passed away this week.
He served the city of Ravenden for the last 45 years as Mayor.
People who knew Mayor Gibbens thought highly of him and knew him as a hard-working man.
Funeral arrangements have been made and services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Ravenden and will be buried in the Hope Cemetary.
ECNN learned that former Police Chief Timothy McComas is serving the city as interim mayor until the former mayor’s replacement is appointed.
