The Mammoth Spring Police Department is reporting the arrest of a man for being in possession of a firearm.

Mammoth Spring Police Officer Jamie Turnbough stated that Robert Hale busted the lock and took his father-in-laws 22 Remington Speedmaster and took it to 51-year-old Christopher Golden and sold it to him for 30 dollars.

When MSPD Officer Turnbough went to recover the firearm, Golden became mad, wanting the money back that he used to purchase the firearm.

The probable cause affidavit states that Officer Turnbough reminded Golden that he was a convicted felon, and it was illegal to own a firearm.

Golden is now being charged with felony possession of a firearm by certain persons.

His bond was set at $2,000.
