A woman from Izard County is now facing charges for stealing a vehicle owned by the Izard County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Chief Deputy Melton and Investigator Tyler Webb were made aware of a theft that had occurred of a vehicle that was used for community service.

The vehicle was described as a black Ford F-150 with a black brush guard, with blue rotary-style emergency lights on the front dash.

The two officers were advised by an off-duty deputy that he observed the vehicle parked at Crown Point Resort in Horseshoe Bend.

The off-duty deputy also said he observed 39-year-old Jill Bradford at the site, and when he approached her and asked how she was doing, she replied “not good, I stole that truck and I want to talk to a lawyer”.

Bradford was then taken into custody.

The deputies reviewed surveillance footage and Bradford was identified by wearing the same clothes in the video as she was wearing when she was arrested.

Bradford is now facing a felony charge for theft of property, more than $5,000 but less than $25,000.

She was placed on no bond.
